Internet dating is funny. People seem nice over email, nice over the phone and even nice in person. But what is missing about Internet dating is trying to answer out the chemistry question quickly. I think we know in a matter of minutes - if there is chemistry or not. I try and try to ignore my initial gut reaction and give the guy a chance.

When I met my internet date for coffee on Sunday, I knew instantly there was no chemistry. There was nothing wrong with him. In fact, he was tall, attractive and very endearing. But what killed his chances was the fact that he wouldn't shut up. He asked a total of 2 questions - "How was my day?" and "Do I have brother's or sisters?". After that he talked and talked endlessly about his life, his ex-girlfriend, his ex-wife. Immediate red flag since he wrote that he was single, but in fact divorced. My assumption was that he hadn't had a lot of experience dating, although he did admit that talking about his exes was wrong, but he obviously couldn't help himself.

It was only 1 hour of my life. I couldn't wait to get home to sit on the couch and watch 60 minutes with Isabella and Luigi.

Our first date

Each time I go out on a date, I can't wait to get home to see Luigi & Isabella. I vowed to never turn into that cat woman - single woman over 40 NBM (never been married). Well here I am, and I'm getting to the point it's not that bad. I haven't given up hope - dreaming that Prince Charming is still out there, somewhere. Doubtfully in South Florida. But I'm tan and never have to shovel snow, so I'm not moving.

I hope to one day find happiness in a relationship that Luigi & Isabella seem to have together. I've read all of the self-help books, practice "The Secret", work on my vision board and pray that it will one day come to pass. If not, I've realized life is not so bad. I have Luigi & Isabella.
